Timberline Forestry wants a timber buyer who "can close a good deal" and a truck driver
The forestry and land-clearing company posted both jobs on LinkedIn on Aug. 23 and 25, 2026. The buyer job pays commission; the driver would pull four kinds of trailers on Central North Carolina routes.

Timberline Forestry wants someone who can size up a stand of trees, likes field work and, in the company's words, "can close a good deal."
Timberline, a forestry, land-clearing and hauling company with a mailing address in Angier, posted that opening for a full-time timber buyer on LinkedIn on Aug. 25, 2026. Two days earlier it posted a second job: an experienced driver with a Class A commercial driver's license (CDL).
The driver would run a truck based in Angier on Central North Carolina routes, five to six days a week, with weekly pay. The job means pulling four kinds of trailers: a lowboy, a log trailer, a chip trailer and an end dump trailer. The post requires a Class A CDL and prior experience with those trailer types.
The company's hauling page says its trucks move heavy equipment to job sites, logs to mills, and wood chips and mulch, along with debris, rock, sand and topsoil.
Hauling is one piece of the business. Timberline also manages forests and does site contracting. It clears and maintains trees and brush along power line and road rights-of-way for utilities, electric cooperatives and transportation departments, work it calls utility vegetation management.
The buyer job is field work. The post asks for someone who knows timber cruising. That is a survey of a stand of trees that records species, diameter, height, product class and volume per acre, as the company explains it on its website. Timberline says it buys standing timber from landowners and harvests it with its own crews.
The post wants applicants local to Angier and surrounding areas. The pay line reads "Competitive Pay + Commission."
