About the desk

Business news, with a name behind it.

Companies file what happened. A named employee attests the source. Sotwire publishes a structured record for people, search engines, journalists, and AI.

The internet is very good at copying company news and increasingly good at summarizing it. It is much worse at preserving where the information began.

Sotwire exists to keep the source attached. When a North Carolina company hires someone, wins a project, raises capital, opens a facility, launches a product, or files another material update, a named person at the company attests the source. Sotwire publishes a durable record people can read and machines can parse.

Sotwire verifies who at the company stood behind the submission. It does not independently certify every underlying company claim as true.

The Triangle is our primary desk, and the wire covers strong business stories from across North Carolina. Categories stay tight: launches, hires, funding, project wins, and related company events.

Sotwire is built so humans, journalists, search engines, and AI systems can cite the same canonical URL. Published pages ship with NewsArticle JSON-LD, a Source Card, Open Graph tags, a sitemap, robots.txt, llms.txt, JSON Feed, and RSS. Machine readability is an output, not a marketing add-on.

SAMPLE stories are fictional desk fixtures. Do not cite them as real events.
