Oxford's Postal Supply sells USPS-approved cluster mailboxes and ships them nationwide
Florence Corporation lists the Granville County company as an authorized dealer. Postal Supply says it has worked with local builders on site requirements for more than 15 years.
In a new residential development, the U.S. Postal Service sets the mail delivery plan, and any centralized mailbox its carriers deliver to must be USPS-approved, Postal Supply's FAQ explains.
Postal Supply, an Oxford company in Granville County, sells those mailboxes. Florence Corporation lists it as an authorized dealer of Florence mailboxes, offering sales, installation and repair. Products on Postal Supply's site are USPS-approved unless marked otherwise, the company says.
A centralized mailbox gathers the mail compartments for many addresses in one place. The most common kind is the cluster box unit, or CBU: a free-standing, pedestal-mounted cabinet of locked tenant compartments, often with parcel lockers and an outgoing-mail slot. CBUs most often go outdoors in new residential developments, and also serve commercial and retail sites, the company says. Postal Supply also sells 4C mailboxes, which mount in or on a wall or in a free-standing enclosure.
A CBU ships directly from the manufacturer by freight carrier, with a delivery appointment and lift-gate service, according to the FAQ. It arrives in two boxes. The pedestal weighs about 25 pounds. The mailbox cabinet weighs 100 to 150 pounds.
The company says it has worked with local builders on site requirements for more than 15 years, and it offers help planning and designing mailbox installations. Its cluster units come in up to eight colors, with decorative caps and bases, and the company says they are made in the USA. Florence's dealer listing describes Postal Supply as based in the Southeast and shipping nationwide.
Florence provides a five-year warranty on its centralized mailbox equipment, starting from the date of purchase from an authorized dealer.
Repair is part of the business, too. In February 2025, Postal Supply added replacement parts to its online catalog: lock kits for parcel lockers, replacement compartment doors, and skirt plate cover kits for CBU pedestals.
