Cary startup Pellucid builds one place for enterprise software buying
Pellucid Network says its platform pulls AWS Marketplace and private catalogs into a single governed buying channel.
Pellucid Network, a Cary startup founded in 2026, is building software for how large organizations buy other software. Its website describes one marketplace platform that combines AWS Marketplace and a company's private catalogs into a single buying experience with approvals and budgets built in.
The site lays out three steps. A company curates an approved catalog and sets its policies once. Employees then request software from that catalog, with approvals routed automatically. Procurement teams see each purchase on contract and counted toward the company's committed cloud spend.
Co-founder Nick Miller described the product to GrepBeat as "a marketplace governance layer" for enterprises. GrepBeat reported on Oct. 23 that Miller co-founded the company with Hakjae Kim, that the team has three people, and that Pellucid took part in the spring 2026 cohort of the Launch Powered by KPMG accelerator and received an investment from NC IDEA's Tweener Fund.
According to GrepBeat, Pellucid has its first beta clients and plans a limited-access free trial. Miller previously served as chief information officer of Arlington National Cemetery and worked at In-Q-Tel and with Amazon Web Services on its public sector marketplace, GrepBeat reported.
