Marshall Moser of Marks Clearing & Grading joins the NUCA of the Carolinas board
Moser leads residential estimating for the Wendell sitework company, which announced the board seat on Oct. 6. The utility contractors' chapter says it has close to 100 members.
Marks Clearing & Grading installs storm, water and sanitary sewer lines as part of its sitework for subdivisions. Someone has to work out what each of those jobs will cost to build. At the Wendell company, Marshall Moser leads that work on residential projects.
Now Moser, the company's vice president of residential estimating, has been inducted to the board of directors of NUCA of the Carolinas, Marks announced on Oct. 6, 2026. The group is the Carolinas chapter of the National Utility Contractors Association. It says it has close to 100 members: utility contractors, suppliers, attorneys and insurance companies whose work covers water, sewer, gas, communications and fiber-optic lines.
Marks said the news came during the chapter's 2026 Fall Conference in Asheville. The chapter's conference flyer puts the event at the Grove Park Inn from Oct. 1 to 3. It lists the election of officers and board members for 2027 at the annual business meeting on Oct. 3, and an induction ceremony at the banquet that evening. The company's post does not say at which session Moser was inducted or when the board term starts.
The company's website says Moser sets projects up early with accurate budgets and brings a field background to the job.
"Board seats aren't about a title. They're about showing up for the industry and helping bring it together," the company wrote.
Marks thanked the chapter for the event and said the induction reflects how it sees its place in the industry: "we're better when the people around us are better."
