Marks Clearing & Grading founder Tyler Marks joined Aaron Witt of BuildWitt on the Dirt Talk podcast for Episode 479, titled "A Skid Steer and a Craigslist Ad."
Marks started the company at 18 with a skid steer and an online ad. In the episode he discusses why owning more equipment doesn't automatically make a better business, how admitting what he didn't know helped him earn trust, and why bringing in experienced leaders became necessary for the company's next stage.
"A lot of people took a chance on me," he said.
