Marks Clearing & Grading has hired John Dodd as vice president of commercial operations.
Dodd has more than 30 years of civil construction experience, according to the company, and has led more than $500 million in projects across more than 10 sectors, including federal and military facilities, aviation, pharmaceutical campuses, higher education, retail, commercial and residential work.
He started his career in the field and worked his way up. "Having worked in the field, I respect every role in the company and listen when concerns are brought to me," Dodd said. He said the company's culture was what drew him. "A lot of companies talk about their values," Dodd said. "Marks lives them out every day."
