Ladybug Creamery opens at Glenwood Place
The small-batch Raleigh ice cream shop uses North Carolina dairy, fruit and honey and keeps a rotating board of 12 flavors.

Ladybug Creamery is open at Glenwood Place in North Raleigh, the shop confirmed on its website after welcoming customers beginning Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026. The News & Observer reported the opening on Nov. 6. The storefront is at 3710 Exchange Glenwood Place, Unit 105, on the first floor of the Sojourn Apartments building just off Glenwood Avenue near the Beltline.
The creamery makes ice cream in small batches with North Carolina dairy, seasonal fruit and local honey, and it bakes, boils or roasts toppings in its own kitchen. It says it uses no artificial flavors or colors. A rotating board of 12 flavors covers signatures, classics, international and seasonal options. Signature scoops that stay on the board include Milk & Honey with sourwood honey and honeycomb, Turkish Coffee and Pistachio.
"Ladybug means: luck, hope, and new beginnings - the courage to move forward and make something meaningful in a new place," the company says on its site. "That is the whole idea behind our Ladybug Creamery."
Founder Onur Yilmaz studied gastronomy and culinary arts and worked in professional kitchens before focusing on ice cream. Owners Onur and Simge moved from Toronto to Raleigh to open the shop. Hours are Thursday through Sunday from 1 to 9 p.m. A public grand opening celebration with a ribbon cutting is planned for Nov. 21 from 1 to 5 p.m., according to Raleigh Magazine.
