Every day is triage.\" That line opens the Marks Clearing & Grading post about Justin Smith, and the company calls it the mindset Smith brings to fleet management.\n\nThe company announced on July 28, 2026, that it had named Smith vice president of asset management. Smith leads the company's fleet and equipment shop, and the company says Smith has decades of experience.\n\nIn practice, the company says, triage means fixing whatever is stopping production first. Then comes building the routines that keep the next breakdown from happening, and backing the technicians who are often there before sunrise.\n\nIn March, the company's CONEXPO-CON/AGG post named Smith as part of its equipment division. A March 3 post put the fleet at 265 pieces of equipment.\n\nThe company spelled out what is at stake when one of them stops. \"Every hour a machine sits in the shop is an hour a schedule slips, a grade doesn't get built, and a client waits longer for the finished product,\" the company wrote.","category":"hire","categoryLabel":"Hires","location":"Wendell, NC","company":{"name":"Marks Clearing & Grading","domain":"marksclearingandgrading.com"},"sample":false,"sampleDisclaimer":null,"publishedAt":"2026-09-21T06:07:25.643Z","updatedAt":"2026-10-23T03:45:34.823Z","badge":"Client confirmed","trust":{"level":"client_confirmed","doctrine":"Sotwire verifies who at the company stood behind the submission.
